Horrible! Worse than 1 star! Velux Skylights hired him in 2018 to replace two malfunctioning skylights. He replaced them both. They looked good when we had very little rain the next four years, but in 2023 the rains came back. One of the 2 skylights leaked badly over my living room. Velux sent him out to check it out, as they had given me a ten-yar warranty. He came with a Velux guy. They left after an hour, without saying anything, or even telling me they were leaving! I wheeled out in my wheelchair--I am disabled--and they both were just gone! after numerous calls to Velux, they said he had done a good job, but they said he told them it wasn't his bad work, but my fire sprinklers must have been leaking! I said this was impossible, unless---after 5 years---they just decided to leak for a few weeks, and then magically stopped leaking on the EXACT SAME DAY it stopped raining here in the San Francisco area!! This was the biggest bunch of bull I had heard in many years!! I had my insurance company come out, and their inspector spent 3 hours checking moisure meters, etc., and he said there is ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE any of the fire sprinklers had ever leaked! He confirmed that the skylight itself leaked. I am a retired judge, and I have dealt with construction issues for 40 years, and I have never seen a more incompetent company than Velux, and they told me they relied on the report by Mr. Troutner, of which they have yet to send me a copy. My experience with Mr. Troutner and Velux are probably the worst I have ever had in dealing with ANY business in 40 years.
