Arrived on time, finished on time, quality work by a courteous, professional crew. VELUX is a great Skylight and these folks are certified installers, know what they're doing and are fast. Cleaned up everything. Took the time to explain how the solar powered skylights worked. All for a reasonable price. Highly recommend Skylight Service Center.

I read all of Skylight Service Center reviews that were online, and thought - No way this company can be as good as everyone is saying. But after contacting other skylight companies for estimates, and being so disappointed by their poor customer service, I called SSC.I was pleasantly surprised that Skylight Service Center answered by call with welcoming conversation, saying they were more than happy to come to my home for the estimate in just a matter of a few days.Cody, the owner, was outstanding in his presentation of his products, services and scope of job details.It was a no brainer!!! - this guy is for me.New installation of 3 skylights and 1 sun tunnel within 2 weeks of the estimate. Cody and his team, or I should say - Dream Team, were exceptional!!!! Each member was polite and showed pride of workmanship. They actually finished the entire job 1 day earlier than expected and even thoroughly cleaned up prior to leaving.I will be singing their praises to everyone.Thank you boys

Once I placed my order it only took a couple of weeks before my new skylights with shades were installed. Cody made it easy. I absolutely highly recommend Cody and his crew.

Hiring Cody and his team to install our new skylights was by far the best decision we have ever made for a home improvement project! Cody was extremely responsive, professional, and transparent about pricing. All of my questions were thoroughly answered during our estimate appointment and he carefully walked me through the different skylight options before we placed our order. The installation crew was punctual and the men were the most polite workers I have ever had in my home. They cleaned up after themselves and also made sure I knew how to operate the remote control shades before they left. I am definitely recommending the Skylight Service Center to all of my friends!

I searched Yelp to find a company to replace my 20+ year old skylights. Cody responded quickly and gave me an estimate. It took a couple of weeks to get the new skylights ordered and delivered to Skylight Service Center.The installation took about 4 hours to install two new skylights. The installation crew laid out plastic to keep everything tidy. The new skylight on the patio too a lot more work. The old one was leaking water during the rain. The wood framing of the skylight was water damaged and termite damaged. The crew installed new framing and painted it white to match the wood in the patio.The new Velux skylights are fantastic. I can look up and see the sky instead of looking at the clouded over plastic of the old skylights.Overall, I highly recommend Skylight Service Center. Great communication. Reasonable cost. Professional installers.

I am thrilled I found Cody to install my kitchen skylight. I was very concerened about cuttiing a hole in the roof of my 73 year old house but Cody answered all my questions, gave me several options, and then gave me a quote that was extremely reasonable. His team arrived exactly on time and first sealed the area so no dust/ dirt would go beyond the work area.After it was completed, the team cleaned up inside and outside and left it spotless.I highly recommend his Company

Cody and his team at Skylight Service Center did an excellent job. We interviewed a total of three skylight specialty companies and found Cody to be the most knowledgeable and informative. Apparently, Cody originally trained and worked for Velux in Denmark, so he truly knows the product.Cody was very thorough in his presentation and explained what we did need (metal flashing kit) and his suggestion of the “Velux Solar Operable Blind for Skylight, Double Pleated White” shade. There was no sales pressure, just helpful suggestions, and insight as to the choices. The shade (remote controlled) works perfectly, and it adds a nice texture appearance when drawn in the evening.We really wanted good sun protection but gain the light in our living room. The old skylight (20+ years and bubble dome) was allowing too much direct sunlight exposure and bleaching our furniture and hardwood flooring. Cody assured us that the Velux glass would provide us the improvement we wanted, and he was absolutely right.We signed the contract and Cody was completely available and communicative throughout the manufacturing (in Denmark) process, shipping, delivery, and perfect installation.We had a huge rainstorm and there were no issues with leakage with the Skylight or surrounding areas after installation. We highly recommend and would use Skylight Service Center again! Thanks Cody!

I love the bright new look of our home! The Cody team installed two skylights for us, one of which has ventilation. I am very happy with their work; so far, so good—there have been no leaks, even after the recent wild storm! They completed everything promptly as promised and cleaned up afterward. The product is expensive and required heavy work, taking three days to install. However, the impact of the skylights is significant and truly changes the feel of our home! We are thinking of adding one to our bedroom!

Cody and his team were great from start to finish. Cody came out and consulted with us on our space, recommended a few configurations and sizes, and made us feel comfortable with our decisions. He explained to us some nuances in our rafters and roofing, and was transparent with what could be done. Once we were good with our final decisions, he and his team finished the project (2 living room skylights and 1 bathroom skylight) in 4 days, right on their scheduled timeline. We walked through them together and they looked great. His team left a clean workspace behind as well, and he recommended a finisher and painter to us. I would recommend Skylight Service Center to anyone looking for skylights.

I had a great experience with Cody and his team. I scheduled an initial consult with Cody - he was quick to respond, arrived on time for our appointment, and was super professional. He was transparent about costs and didn't try to upsell me on services. Once we decided to move forward with ordering & install, he was again prompt and kind in his communication. I had two skylights replaced (one included an electronic cover with a remote), and two sun tunnels needed replacing. Finalizing all the details and payment was seamless. His team was very polite, and Cody explained their process as the three of them worked, so I was aware of everything going on. Cody and his team at Skylight Service Center were amazing. When we called Skylight, Cody came out in a timely manner and gave us a very detail breakdown of the work. He took his time with us and explained the entire process and gave us an exact breakdown of the cost and how long it would take to do the work. Excellent service by Cody's crew, which included Max and his colleague on site. We were getting a skylight replaced. They arrived on time, protected the area that was going to be affected, and explained what was going to happen that day. They finished the job promptly, took pictures of the progress to show me, and left my home clean and tidy at the end of the day. Cody is responsive, in case of any issues, but we didn't have any. Overall stellar service, and no BS. Just simple, complete, and respectful.

Cody was very prompt re returning my initial call and scheduling time to see my project. He provided the proposal in a timely manner and made it clear how long it would take for the product. The three skylights in my place were 30 years old and in need of replacement. I Knew I wanted to go with Velux brand and I researched the product as well as install methods thoroughly. The experience I had with Cody and his skilled install team was fantastic from the initial call back all the way though completion and followup. Communication was excellent. Even though two of the three were more challenging to upgrade due to wet and dry rot on a "flat roof" after removing the existing, Cody was true to word from day one and all suggestions were great. I've replaced skylights in the past but this was exceptional compared to others. I highly recommend Skylight Service Center.

We had an old, cracked, leaking skylight in our home and I knew that we needed them both replaced. I could not be happier with the amazing service from Skylight Service Center. Cody's installers came right on time and did a fantastic job. I am a dedicated Home Depot "do it yourself" homeowner. Due to some health issues, I had to consider installation by Skylight Service Center. If all service people were as easy to work as Cody and his guys, I would be more inclined to consider other help. Thank you, Cody and crew, from John and Shirley.Additional REVIEWWe have enjoyed our solar skylight for over a month now. We love it! Shirley was unable to open or close our old crank skylight. I had to replace a Sun Tunnel that was really old. I called the original company and a few others. They gave me some song and dance about how I would need a new 20K roof. I contacted Skylight Service Center, and they gave me a fair price to replace the old tunnel and repair the portions of the roof that would be impacted. Communication and work were great.

Cody, Ury and their team did an outstanding job replacing four old Velux Skylight Windows with new amazing windows, including blinds. The installation crew arrived on time, were courteous, hard working and cleaned everything perfectly at the end of each day. We have a very steep roof on our 3rd floor, so it was a daunting job. They listened and addressed all my concerns promptly. They matched my 10 year old roof shingles (the area looks newer but will fade as the old have.)I am extremely happy with the results, and love the new features of the updated Velux windows that were recommended. Pros: Cody was punctual and he gauged our rafters would be 16" apart but he couldn't be sure until he opened up the roof. We appreciated his "under promise over deliver" transparency, because once he got in, we were all surprised that we would have 18" of skylight!!Yury and his installation team were great and when I was unsatisfied with a small detail, they were kind and graciously fixed the caulking before I signed off on approval. When I asked Yury about upgrades like the Smart Home Control or metal screen instead of nylon, he was honest with his opinion and didn't try to upsell me on products or additional labor. He did reassure me though it's a very simple install I could do myself if I changed my mind.It's been a few days now and the 3 kids have played with the remote making the skylight open and close, and no issues yet.Cons: We were hoping to install 2, but with limited financing options, we were only able to afford 1 paying cash upfront. An in house financing option would've been great if offered.The kids bathroom had some debris all around the tub. It was obvious they tried their best to sweep it up, but if they had a shop vac to pick up the fine dust, that would've been nice. Everything else like the walls and ceiling were neat and clean.Overall, I'd recommend them and would hire Cody and his team again to install my 2nd ventilated skylight -- when I save enough money again :)

I decided to look for estimates on the skylights in my backyard veranda. I wasn’t sure how old the old skylights were but they were leaking around the edges when it rained and when we bought our house in 2020, the inspector had told us that we might need to reseal them. I wanted to replace them entirely because the wood around them was becoming compromised from the water over time and the water leaking through was affecting our patio furniture. I’m so glad that I found Cody and his team. The quote was a fair price and he mentioned how they would reinforce any weaknesses they found. Cody answered any and all questions very quickly and adjusted the quote giving me different options (frosted or clear glass, etc). His team was thorough and left the skylights looking amazing, the wood looking better than before, and no trace of a mess anywhere. I can’t wait for the next rain because I know there won’t be anymore leaking.

I had Cody's team come and replace 2 skylights in my attic. Cody is a great at communicating. His prices are fair. His team arrived on time and worked hard the whole day to get the project done by the end of the day. They wore shoe covers and carefully covered the work area. Everything was done professionally and as described in the bid. We had a huge skylight installed, 75x75 in. They arranged for a crane to come and lift it to the roof, and everything went smoothly, no issues. We had 3 30 year old velux skylights that needed replacing. Contacted the skylight service center in San pedro. Cody got back to us quickly. Came by and gave us an estimate also quickly. After he went over the options we decided to get the solar powered ventilated ones with shades that work by remote control. ( Which we are very happy with, no more cranking etc. ).We agreed, and gave him a deposit. It took a few weeks to get them in. Then we scheduled an installation appointment between rain storms. He and his crew were professional, polite, efficient and friendly. It took a couple of days to do it correctly as there is more work to it than I realized. At first we called a roofing company that also worked on skylights, but they wanted to do $10k of roof work in addition to the skylights (we just had our roof serviced last summer). We decided to get a second opinion, so we called Cody. When he got up there, he saw that our old skylights were installed with the wrong flashings. We were worried about the total cost, since we were doing other work on the house at the same time. Cody's pricing was very fair, and he only did work that was necessary. He also recommended that we use a skylight with a solar powered shade to get a rebate on the total cost of the skylights (that saved us a significant amount of money!). Cody and his team were extremely professional and just a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them for any skylight related issues!

Highly recommended. We finally had to replace our old skylight. It was atleast 30 years old. Sent an inquiry and was immediately contacted by Cody. Setup a quick meet via text. He came and gave us some options and did some measurements. We were able to complete money transactions by Zelle which was awesome. Installation went super smooth. We got some rain today and so far no leaks. Even if we did have issues though, I know that I can contact the company and they’d fix it right away.

I got their information from the Velux website. I tried 2 others before I called these guys. Third times a charm for sure. Once our skylight was ordered, they promised an 8 hour install time. During the entire time of the install, the crew couldn't have been more professional. l highly recommend their services.They both reroofed around the skylight and did drywall work on the inside of a vaulted ceiling. The cleanup was spotless.

Cody was so great to work with on this project. I had contacted a few other companies and they all either didn’t call back or show up for appointments. Cody was very efficient from beginning to end. He sent an estimate about an hour after he looked at the job. My skylight took about 10 days to come in because it is a custom size.Cody called me the day he received it to set up a date for installation. His crew arrived on time and worked non-stop all day.Once the old skylight was removed a problem with the roof surrounding the opening was revealed and they fixed that as well?I highly recommend this company am thrilled to have my new skylight

His price was competitive but best news was how well he communicated, the promptness of the crew and professional work his crew of friendly tradesmen performed. After calling around to several skylight companies and roofers… skylight service center reached out to me. Cody was the rep. I had a leak in one of my skylights and needed it repaired fast. It was rainy season. Cody reached out and assisted me with my issue. Once I figured out which skylights I wanted, the process went quickly. I was calling around to have an old acrylic double dome skylight replaced. Cody sounded very friendly and knowledgeable over the phone so I decided to have him take a look and measure the custom size dome. Communication via email was very responsive, he answered any questions I had in a clear manner. As soon as they received the large custom size acrylic dome from the manufacturer, his team of 3 came out within days to install. It's been a couple of weeks since I had a skylight installed by Skylight Service Center so I thought I'd share my experience.Cody initially came to my home to give me a free estimate. I had several estimates done but his was the most thorough. He crawled around my attic to ensure there would be no installation issues, and was able to explain the different available options based on his findings in simple terms.Over the next few weeks, he was very patient with all the questions that I had, which I really appreciated. Things moved quickly once I signed and the installation went smoothly without any issues. His crew was very professional, respectful, and kept things clean.The installation looks very clean, both from the inside and outside (checked with a drone). I guess the real test will be after a couple of rains, but I feel confident that these guys will be there if any problems arise.Would definitely use Skylight Service Center again!
